The drama begins with a Clark Haripada’s rally, who gave up his life for a trivial matter. In fact the beginning of the drama centered on a sneeze. Once he went to see drama with his wife and meet with his boss. But unfortunately he sneezed on his boss’s neck. Haripada panics and whispers an embarrassed apology. Boss replies “its ok,” an expression just open-ended enough to cause haripada even more anxiety. haripada decides to elaborate with some context to help the boss understand that he truly did not mean to sneeze on him, but only irritates the boss. Boss completely ignores him. At this, haripada is offended and decides to stop trying to get through with his apology. Then boss gets angry at his behavior and fires him. When he finally came to his house he committed suicide. The trivial, unnecessary death of a Clerk thus points humorously to the strange ironies and experiences of strained deference to an arbitrary social order. The drama based on a stort story of Anton Chekov, adopted in Bengali by Indrasish Lahiri and directed by Goutom Chatterjee.
